Re-Blog.

Today is  a writing day and a re-blogging day. A little bit of inspiration as I sit down to ponder Joyce and attempt to do him justice on a new page.  There is little room for a meaningless sentence about Joyce, and so I marvel at how I manage to create so many.  Thank god for editing, balconies, tea (teateateatea) and the tam tam drums in the distance.

His soul had approached the region where dwell the vast hosts of the dead. He was conscious of, but could not apprehend, their wayward flickering existence. His own identity was fading out into a grey impalpable world: the solid world itself which the dead had one time lived in was dissolving and dwindling.

Happy Sunday people.

Nostalgia

I was perusing some old photos the other day and came across these from my grade 12 prom.  An incredibly cliche event that we all learn to dread the memory of (whether it be the date or the dress) the further it disappears into our hazy pasts.  My date sure is is history, but fortunately I got some solo photos of the dress that I still surprisingly love a little bit. I haven't been this dressed up in a long while; hopefully this flashy bit of nostalgia will satisfy the craving until my next opportunity.

Happy Friday! This weekend St. Laurent is closed off for fun, just a block from my front door.  Basically it means great music and a great excuse to procrastinate from the serious essay writing that will also be happening over the weekend.

Sun Showers

Turns out summer school is more demanding in June than it was in May.  Still tons of time to lounge in the park, however my lounging has become very productive.  I'm reading British authors all month and heading to England after my course so it's all working out rather perfectly. Not wishing away the present by any means; I'm living in a city full of green wasting time lost in great writing.  Here's a little taste of my afternoons!

Cheers!

Are you a Yeasayer, or a Naysayer?

Yeasayer in Montreal tonight!  Very sadly stuck at home with a soar throat, but I take consolation in the fact that they usually play here at least once a year... fingers crossed for next year. These photos were taken a few weeks ago. They show some of Montreal's early spring magic, some contemporary museum public art (who doesn't love musical swings?), and some of my beautiful long lost friend who has fled the city for an indefinite period.  I miss you, and I'll be coming to you if you don't come to me. Although I'm a naysayer tonight, I am truly a Yeasayer. It's time to roam the world indefinitely.  If not now, when?  If you don't listen to Yeasayer check out their newest album Odd Blood (2010). Reaalll good.

                      Almost le weekend!

The Itsy Bitsy Spider

I am in a fit of exhaustion, though all I've done today is sleep, eat, and sit in an air conditioned room for several hours writing until my hand was in severe pain.  Why is exam writing so tiring?  It never ceases to surprise me how pooped I am when I finish, but now I have...4 days of freedom until I start my next summer course on Monday! Woohoo! Because I'm mentally quite dull right now, I won't banter the way I enjoy to so much.  I got both these shorts and little lace top for great prices thrifting around the city last week, and did a little hemming on the shorts.  I loved the color and the buttons.  I hope everyone is having a good week!

Always love looking at this neighborhood with the city skyline in the background.

Cheers!
