Even in public art displays, and museum coffee shops the planners tend towards reds, vibrancy... perhaps restoration starts with a city in color.

City in Color
Here are a few photos I meant to post a couple weeks ago. One of the things I noticed most about London was that it is a city with defined accent colors- namely red- and also the pastels coating so many row houses in more residential areas. For a city that in 20th Century literature (both modern and post-modern) is often described as a decaying monster, I think these color combinations are a wonderful sign of revival despite the current economic situation. Although most of these photos are taken in more affluent neighborhoods, I saw similar things happening driving through many suburbs on the trains in and out of the city.
